Who Am I Writing For?

People often ask me “how many comments do you get per post?” I respond with “zero, but I do have silent viewers”. And that is when I am hit with “With no comments, who are you writing for?”

They are right. Who am I writing for? When I created vallesia.com/, I did not create it for huge exposure, rather, I created it to share my thoughts. Would I love for more people to read vallesia.com/? Yes, but it's not really my primary goal. My primary goal is to create meaningful content and assure that I am proud to be associated with them. You will not catch me creating meaningless posts that I won't stand behind.

I am a strong believer in quality over quantity, it’s best to give one meaningful blog post a month than giving one meaningless one every week. I do have my specific viewers and I am not comfortable with that change of dynamic.

I believe that with writing I can create meaningful arguments, inform my readers, and provide meaningful and well-researched content that I care about. I do debate with myself about the direction of this blog. I do know what people want to read, but I will only post what I like since that’s what I want to be associated with.

vallesia.com/ will not be the next Buzzfeed, and that's fine with me. I cannot get myself to publish content like that, and I am fine with that. My goal is not to go viral, but to inform people.
